BDS 1 Combe Syd - Work so far

Right only just got 5 mins to put something up on here with regards to the weekends racing, and fuck what a weekend.

UK racing has not been so good in quite a while, pretty much a mini WC, as Ratty said somewhere, Marcs run would of been a top 5 WC run no stress...

Anyway as I'm sure those who read this blog regularly can imagine I can really put anything to great on line yet as once stuff goes on line no one will touch it with a barge pole, but here are a few things you can see now...

First up is a sweet video from the weekend from good friends of mine southerndownhill.com and good mate and Filmer Chris Seager, reason I'm posting it on here is there are a few of my shots in there, see if you can spot them haha, nice to see some of the shots getting used somewhere.

Next up are the shots on the Madison Saracen blog which you can find here:

Click for more but here is one I like...

Either Jack G or Will W ... im going Jack...

As well as the Saracen stuff I also did a bit of work for GT/Atherton Racing and they have a few photos up on there blog here:

Rach Atherton taking 2nd place by less than a second behind Manon

Now for those who follow me on facebook and twitter I have been putting stuff up all weekend and a few peeks at other shots:

Nice shot of Peaty just before his slight wobble in the bottom rock drop, banger this one!

Brendog back and on form with his eyes on the prize

Keep an eye on the next issues of Wideopenmag and MBUK for a few more photos from the weekend and the next Madison/Saracen team video ( see the first one here: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Madison-Saracen-2012-Season-Opener-video.html )

For now anyway that's all, like I said keep an eye out for more stuff from me...

Recent tear sheets

Another one of these blog posts...

One comes up every month or so as the pile of magazines I have stuff in beside my desk gets to large to ignore, got a few more coming up in next months batch of magazines but they will make it in to the next one of these posts.

This month we have a few Ads I shot for Genesis bikes, Saracen bikes, few things in MBR, Dirt and MBRider Germany and a few other bits and bobs...

Take a look...

First up are few of the Ads that have had my images on them in various magazines over the last month or so...

Ad for the new Saracen Ariels running in all the mags
Ad for the Saracen DH team and Myst bike again in most magazines
Genesis bikes Ad
Another Genesis bikes Ad
Dartmoor cycles Ad

Now a few tear sheets from MBR and Dirt etc:

Sw article in Dirt
Contents page of MBR
Big picture in MBR
Shot to go with Josh Brycelands article in Dirt
Snap shot of Sam Reynolds in Dirt
Dirt SW bit again
Double page spread of stuff in the latest Random mag
Now that last one is worth more than just an image caption, the new Random is stunning!

Its like a work of art, if you like bikes, nice photos, nice magazines etc then its a must have.

Stunning work from all the best MTB camera nerds in the world, all in an amazing quality thick book, great print, great colours, and THE best photos from the world of bikes from the last year... GET IT!

Then the Danny Hart interview I shot with MTBrider Germany magazine while I was up shooting for Locals2...

Its so nice when you go and shoot with someone so well  known and in the public eye as Danny was only months after his "run" that when you see it all end up in a greatly laid out article in a large magazine, it just makes it that much better...

Anyway Thanks to all the people at these magazines for liking my work enough to run it, long may in continue!

Alex Bond - Short travel , Photo and Video

New video and a few of the many photos I shot at the start of this week just gone up in North Wales with Alex Bond.

The video is to run alongside the Alex Bond interview in the next issue of www.Wideopenmag.co.ukthat I was really up there shooting for, lots of great lifestyle shots and riding stuff, all really good, will be one hell of an article!

Anyway More on the video:

Shot over 3 days in North Wales on various tracks all close to Als place...

All on his Short travel bike and gets a bit wild and is just a bit different really...opens up a lot more stuff to shoot...

First real shoot and video Shot with my new Canon 5d3 and I'm just even more impressed by it.

The Dynamic range and colours are amazing, the detail in the shots once you grade them is amazing, the slow mo is just better than on my 550d for some reason, and this video was planned and sorted in my head before shooting even started so it was easy to get it just right.

I'm really happy with this one and for any other info on gear/how/why etc just leave a comment and I will either comment back or edit the main post...

Be sure to check out http://wideopenmag.co.uk/ for some more pics, video and when the new issue drops ( should be soonish ) the full article...

The weird roosty beard forehead riding title screen shot I made...
Foot out and getting loose as shit even with a dodgy shoulder
Al and his beloved truck on top of some mountain at sunset, hell of a place!
Again throwing a foot off and riding faster than I could ever hope to on a full DH bike on his XC bike...

Alex Bond - Short Travel from Jacob Gibbins on Vimeo.

And the video, as I said above, any questions just ask...
